ELDERS

 

At WenatcheeValleyBaptistChurch we believe God calls and raises up elders to lead the church.  An elder is one of a plurality of biblically qualified men who jointly shepherd and oversee the local church body.  While all levels of leadership are very important, our elders will always be relied upon to be heard first as they teach the Word of God. 

 

Our elders serve as managers and caretakers of the church.  As overseers of the flock, they will lead in determining church policy, care for the spiritual condition of the church, ordain other leaders, teach, encourage, and serve the people of the church.  As Shepherds they will rely completely upon the Bible for their direction, and they will set an example for all in living full, rich, meaningful lives in close personal relationship with the Lord.
